    The NAHMA Emerging Leaders Learning Series (NELLS)ย is a fully virtual program that combines small group learning with one-to-one coaching, designed exclusively for Affordable Housing Property Management professionals.ย NELLSManager focuses specifically on topics relevant to first-line professionals, including Property Managers, Leasing Managers, Maintenance Managers and Compliance Specialists. The original NELLSExecutive program focuses on topics relevant to senior organizational managers and leaders, typically at the Director, Regional, Officer level and above. Successfully completing a NAHMA Emerging Leaders Learning Series (NELLS) course will earn an individual five CEUs toward their annual six required CEUs to maintain their NAHP or NAHP-e credentials.   • 2025 NAHPยฎ-e Certification Application

    $215.00

    The NAHP-Executive (NAHP-e) certification was designed to recognize affordable housing management executives. To qualify, you must have at least five years of affordable housing experience with a minimum of three (of the five) years as an active owner, CEO, managing agent, asset manager, district/regional manager or equivalent.     NAHP is the only professional certification program with stringent requirements dedicated solely to recognizing and promoting achievement of the highest possible standards in affordable housing management. The successful applicant must have a minimum of two years of affordable housing management experience, and must also meet an education component. Criteria requirements are specifically structured to provide the NAHP with the skills and expertise required to function in the affordable housing industry with a high degree of competence and professionalism.   • 2025 SHCMยฎ Certification Application

    The Specialist in Housing Credit Managementยฎ (SHCMยฎ) certification has been developed by NAHMA especially for management professionals involved with properties developed and operated under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. The SHCM is designed by management professionals for management professionals to ensure they have attained the knowledge, experience and competence required to excel in the housing credit property management industry. To earn an SHCM, candidates must:
    • Educationย โ€“ successfully accumulate a minimum of 12 hours (actual instruction time) of housing credit specific coursework or training from an approved provider* within two years of sitting for the SHCM exam
    • Examinationย โ€“ successfully pass the SHCM exam
    • Professional Experienceย โ€“ demonstrate a minimum of two years of housing credit management employment experience through an application process
    • SHCM Code of Professional Conductย โ€“ commit to a defined code of professional conduct (see below)
    • Complete Applicationย โ€“ submit your SHCM Applicationย fillable formย along with the $187 application fee
