NAHMA 2024 Continuing Education Tracking Form

NAHMA’s Blended Compliance Designation (BCD) course is a comprehensive program designed to cover advanced topics related to working with the HUD 4350.3 Occupancy  handbook (version REV 1-Change 4), such as managing mixed-finance properties, managing corporate access to HUD secure systems, managing front-line staff in their occupancy compliance duties, and more.

Each participant will receive a copy of the NAHMA Blended Compliance Designation course manual. The program is composed of a full day of classroom instruction. Participants will be given a voucher to take the online exam. The voucher expires after three weeks. Students are notified immediately of their test results upon completion of the exam. Individuals must pass the exam to become certified BCDs. All participants who successfully complete the course will receive an BCD certificate and will be listed in NAHMA’s online Credential Directory.

It is recommended that course attendees have a solid working knowledge of the HUD 4350.3 Handbook prior to registration. (Prior certification, such as earning your CPO, is recommended but not required.)

Once the BCD certificate is earned, you will need to renew it each year. Renewal includes earning 6 hours of continuing education (6 CEUs) each year, as well as payment of a modest renewal fee of $125 per year. Submission of the completed CEU form will be due each January along with your payment. The CEUs must have an occupancy-related focus.

PLEASE NOTE: Certificate holders will be self-certifying each year and do not need to send in an attendance letter, certificate, event literature or certificate of their continuing education.

As noted, it is recommended but not required that you earn your CPO prior to participating in the BCD course. As a result, it is also recommended that CPOs consider maintaining and renewing their CPO designation in addition to the BCD designation annually once it is earned, since the designations are not mutually exclusive and the combination of designations demonstrates you have achieved the highest and most thorough levels of occupancy training possible.
