The National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) Educational Foundation will honor Alice Fletcher with the 2026 Inspiration Award at its annual fundraising gala in November. The award recognizes individuals or organizations for their longtime commitment to advancing educational opportunities for those working within the affordable housing industry and the residents they serve.
“The Inspiration Award represents the highest honor bestowed by the NAHMA Educational Foundation. It recognizes exceptional leadership, tireless advocacy and an unwavering commitment to empowering residents in affordable housing communities through education. Alice’s long-standing dedication to our mission and her leadership within the affordable housing industry embody the true spirit of this award. Her work has made a lasting impact on our community, helping open doors and create life-changing opportunities for our scholarship recipients across the nation,” Anthony Sandoval, foundation chair, said. “On a personal note, I had the honor and privilege of working with Alice on the NAHMA Educational Foundation Board, and very much appreciated all the leadership and guidance she has provided to me. I want to thank her for all her years of service on the NAHMA Educational Foundation Board and congratulate her on this much-deserved honor.”
Fletcher, a senior vice president at Park Properties Management Co., served on the foundation board of directors from 2015 to 2018, as its chair from 2019 to 2021, and again as a director from 2022 to 2025.
In selecting an Inspiration Award winner, the foundation board considers the nominee’s accomplishments in promoting education, including training and recognition programs for employees, active participation in organizations that promote scholarship and further education, development of regional or national awareness campaigns or programs, and promotion or development of industry certification and training programs.
Fletcher will be honored during the NAHMA Educational Foundation’s annual Inspire Gala on Nov. 12, at Sequoia DC, 3000 K St. NW, Washington, D.C. The gala is the foundation’s primary public fundraising event, with proceeds supporting its scholarship program. In addition to the Inspiration Award presentation, the event includes a live auction, a silent auction, entertainment, a sit-down dinner and a testimonial from a scholarship recipient. Visit the foundation gala webpage for details, sponsorship opportunities and tickets.
