Congratulations to our Advocacy Challenge winners!

During the NAHMA Fall Conference, the NAHMA Federal Affairs Committee announced the winners of NAHMA’s first “AHMA Advocacy Challenge”:

  • Shout outs to New England AHMA (NEAHMA) and Mid-Atlantic AHMA, whose advocacy work earned them honorable mentions during the advocacy challenge!
  • Congratulations to CSI Support and Development for winning NAHMA’s “MVP” Achievement Award for Advocacy
  • Congratulations to Midwest AHMA (MAHMA) for earning first place in the challenge!

The friendly competition took place during the August Congressional Recess and promoted in-district advocacy at communities across the country in order to elevate the importance of affordable housing. NAHMA members posted on social media, hosted property tours with lawmakers, planned resident engagement activities, met with lawmakers in-district, and attended local town hall meetings.

Stay tuned for information about how to get involved in next year’s advocacy contests.

Thanks to everyone who participated in NAHMA’s first advocacy competition to elevate the importance of affordable housing.
