WHO WE ARE:
Founded in 1989, the Louisiana Affordable Housing Management Association (LAHMA) is the state’s largest organization for managers and owners of privately owned, government assisted and afford able rental housing. As owners of moderate and low income housing, utilizing resources from HUD, Rural Housing Services and Low Income Housing Tax Credit Programs.LAHMA members have been actively involved in all facets of federally assisted housing programs, including the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC). As the world of housing changes, LAHMA is positioning itself to focus on the new programs available to owners and managers today.LAHMA supports outstanding management and maintenance of our state affordable housing stock, which helps to insure safe, decent and sanitary rental conditions for our residents. Also, as members of the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) LAHMA is a part of a national network of AHMA’s working to preserve the affordable housing available today.
OUR MEMBERS:
LAHMA members manage over fifty percent of the state of Louisiana’ s affordable housing. Presidents and executives of property management companies, owners of affordable rental housing, directors and managers of public housing agencies, site management staff and suppliers of goods and services to the industry make up our membership.

OUR OBJECTIVES:
To build a continuing dialogue with governmental and regulatory agencies. To act as primary source for information and training in the Louisiana affordable housing industry. To promote a standard of excellence in the management of affordable housing. To improve member’s businesses by providing a venue for the sharing of ideas and information.
To speak with one voice on issues of concern.
